Pro Engineer
by PTC is an industry-leading CAD software package used by organizations
in the Industrial, High-Tech, Aerospace and Defense, Automotive,
Consumer Goods and Medical industries to support key business
objectives. Pro Engineer is powerful – able to handle large
assemblies in a collaborative environment without flinching. Our
experience with Pro Engineer, Solid Works and other CAD programs
always brings us back to ProE.
Our experience with ProE has given us a large asset bank of CAD
details. For instance, drawing a thread in CAD
can be a difficult task. Many resort to a thread as a simple cosmetic
feature. The problem is that a cosmetic thread will not print
in a rapid prototype. We can draw any standard or custom thread
as a real, parametric solid. That means when you go to make a
rapid prototype, you have the details necessary to actually print
a real thread!
In addition to 3D solid modeling, Pro Engineer allows us to create
2D CAD drawings of your part with the option of using
your drawing format. These drawings have a direct relationships
to the original. That means if you change the design, the CAD
drawings change automatically.
Final drawings can be made as electronic files including Adobe
PDFs, Adobe Illustrator or raw vector-based files. We can also
take and convert ProE files to Adobe Illustrator.

Genau Design has experience in both product development and graphic
design. We are experienced in studio photography and have an intimate
understanding of lighting and how that affects surface modeling
and part reflections. It also allows us to create virtual rooms
like a real photo studio, further enhancing the rendering's appeal.
This experience helps us make photo-realistic renderings that
not only communicate, but makes your pre-sell collateral look
professional.
Our in-house graphics capabilities start with Pro Engineer's
PhotoLux rendering software. We choose colors,
textures and reflectivity to best represent your part. Renderings
are then captured in a high-quality pixel file format.
Once the PhotoLux rendering is completed, we import the resulting
file into our image editing software. Here we are able to make
final photo retouching, clipping, color corrections and other
adjustments to properly communication your part's features and
form.
We utilize Adobe Illustrator for vector-based graphics such as
logos and part drawing conversions. These vectors can be brought
back into Pro Engineer for decal applications
onto your product including your company's logo. Other useful
aesthetic designs that we can represent include bump or texture
mapping, which helps capture surface details otherwise not accomplished
in traditional CAD design. |
